1.Your departure date.
2. Your departure time.
3. Residence number.
4. Flight number.
Also, a reminder that your rough draft of the written part of the final project is due on Monday. This is an academic paper. The requirement is:
1 introduction paragraph
2-4 body paragraphs
1 conclusion paragraph
2 or more resources in APA format
Each paragraph must have:
1 interesting topic sentence
2-5 sentences with details and examples
1 concluding or transition sentence

Today the students created a news report about a plane crash in Peru, an advertisement for a fictional Hotel Shia luxury resort, and a public service message about how to choose healthy breakfast foods. Well done, everyone! You can find our videos under the Class Videos tab on the home page.

What's new? What's due?
I hope you are all having a great weekend!
We will meet in GAC 133 at 8:00am every day this week.
Here's the lineup of assignments for this week. You may do written work on paper or send me a Google doc (include me as an editor, so I can make suggestions in the document) to Victoria's email: vlbolton@gmail.com
Please check your email; I've sent a Flickr link with some of our class photos to share. If you have photos to share, email them to classmates, post them on your blog, or share them with Flickr or Picasa.
Due Monday 7-25-11:
1. GCV (Genessee Country Village) Webquest answers.
2. Concept map for final project. (Look under the tab Final Project at the top of this blog.) Your map may be different from the sample. It should be useful and personal for you to organize your ideas. It will help you write your outline.
3. Quiz: if you want to improve your grade, or if you owe me a quiz, hand it in Monday, 7-25-11.
Due Tuesday, 7-26-11:
1. Blog post #2 About Kayaking. If you didn't go kayaking, write a post about Niagara Falls, the GCV, or a topic of your choice.
2. I will return your concept maps with comments and suggestions on Tues.
3. We will have a QUIZ on pioneer vocabulary on Tues.
Due Wednesday, 7-27-11:
1. Final project OUTLINE. See Final Project tab at the top of this blog for what to include in your outline.
2. Look at 5 classmates' blogs and make a short comment.
3. We will have a QUIZ on Eastman vocabulary on Wed.

1. Final Project RESOURCE LIST.
2. Blog post #3: Topic of your choice with writing plus photo/video/slideshow/music.

1. Rough draft of Final Project INTRODUCTION paragraph.
2. Comment on the other 5 classmates' blogs. Choose different blogs than those you commented about on Wednesday.

Welcome!
This blog is where you will look every day for assignments and information about class. We have a lot to do and learn in the next 3 weeks. I'm very excited to be part of the American Language Institute program, and I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you!
