Due: Monday, 7-25-11: Create a concept map like this to organize your ideas for the final project. Fill in your topic. Write and answer the questions. Your map will look different because your topic may require different questions.

Cultural Inquiry Project:
You ask a question about something that really interests you. You choose a topic.
You will research a topic about North American culture that you want to know more about.
Expectation:
1. You will hand in a written outline of your project.
            a. use your concept map to help you create the outline
b. your outline will have:
   an introduction
   2-8 paragraphs
   a conclusion
   a resource list
2. You will hand in a written paper of 1-3 pages of text (double spaced, 12 point plain font, 500-700 words).
            a. plain font: Arial, Courier, Times New Roman
            b. You will create a title page that includes:
                        your name
                        title of your project
                        date

3. You will include a resource list at the end of the paper (where you got your information)
            a. articles in magazines or journals
            b. websites (educational, academic)
            c. personal interviews with an American
            d. list your resources in APA style. (I will help you with this.)
4. You will present your project to the class orally and visually. You must speak as part of the presentation, but you must NOT read your paper to the class.
